The Mythological Man on Substack

Gorgonautica is an original, ongoing series written by Chadwick Ciocci, set in the broad world of ancient Greek mythology. Arestes and his brother Aresteon - sons of the war god Ares - battle man, beast, and gods on their epic journeys aboard a gorgon-headed ship.
While in the larger genre of Greek myth retellings (with a focus on original characters), Gorgonautica is a sort of live, public, mythological journal. Stories are handwritten, then edited only for punctuation and corrections, and then published on SubStack.
The series is written for adults and children alike. Adults and lifelong students can explore themes of hope, despair, family, patriotism, war, man versus god, and so much more. Children will be exposed to these, too, but they will also enjoy cyclopes, pirates, and adventures that would please any boy or girl.
