Odyssey: The Greek Myths Reimagined

Odyssey by Stephen Fry is an excellent introduction for novices and a wonderful reminder for the more advanced of the most important stories and characters from Homer’s The Odyssey - one of the most important stories in ancient Greek and Roman mythology. Fry’s writing is particularly enjoyable for its British humor and its wry, witty delivery. But Fry is also quite the scholar, and his well-learnedness comes through in the work. In fact, his entire series, The Greek Myths Reimagined, is a perfect example of how the myths can be retold in a fun, enjoyable, yet erudite way.
