She: Understanding Feminine Psychology

She is part of a series Johnson wrote, including He and We, amongst many other psychological explainers. Overall, Johnson is an excellent writer and incredibly helpful for newer students. She is the weakest of his works, but still worth reading. It has serious limitations, but these can be negated so long as it is a part of a larger curriculum, including works by Jean Shinoda Bolen, and other female and feminist authors.

While the book is certainly not a comprehensive explanation of the feminine psyche, it does offer, in its first couple of pages, somehow, one of, if not the single greatest, explanations for the meaning and role of mythology that I have ever read.
