The Undiscovered Self

By C.G. Jung

The Undiscovered Self by C.G. Jung is obviously a must-read for anyone on a path of wisdom, individuation and growth. It is a short book, which is helpful, but as expected, also packed full with insight from the master himself. The work serves as a particularly helpful tool for framing what ails humanity today. In the first chapter, entitled The Plight of the Individual in Modern Society, Jung writes, “There is and can be no self-knowledge based on theoretical assumptions, for the object of self-knowledge is an individual-a relative exception and an irregular phenomenon.”
